Darkness submerged shimmering stars,
and shrouded the dwindling path.
That flicker flashed frantically,
a jolt meant to awake the sound.
The whiteness witnessed weariness,
a longing tugging at the heartstrings.
Tears drowned dreaded departure,
and mercilessly ended the spark.
Yet around the shivering, shaken soul,
courage remained distinguished.
And amidst the luminous lighted life,
love for her shall surround.
For even if fate feted finality,
strength shall bestow upon her.
